Is with her Lord and Savior now, pain free. Bonnie passed away April 10, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born May 10, 1948 in Monterey Center, the daughter of Robert and Alberta (Stratton) Alflen and lived in the Gobles area the majority of her life. She loved football, plastic canvas crafting, morel mushroom hunting, gill fishing, walking, "Curves," playing cards and especially loved her best friend Henry, her loving husband of 35 years. Bonnie was a very kind and loving person, who will be missed very much. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior in the summer of 2003. Bonnie was a graduate of Allegan High School and a member of Third Reformed Church of Kalamazoo, MI, now Centerpoint Church. She had a smile, no matter what, which just made others smile. She will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband; 2 sons, Jim (Stacey Kim) Steinman of Gobles, Steve (Mary Jo) Steinman of Grand Junction; daughter, Stacy Rae (Josh) Cook of Paw Paw; son, Scott (Tassey) Handley; a sister, Cindy Vanna of Fennville; 11 grandchildren, Cori, Casey, Kara, Lydia, Griffin, Samantha, Tzila, Cade, Shawn, Emma, Allie; and several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Little Raymond. She was preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Donna Jean (David) Oisten and Peggy Weeks; and a brother, Norman Ardnt. The family will meet friends 1-3 PM Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com, where the memorial service will be 3:00 PM with Pastor Dar Vander Wal officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later time. The family suggests memorials be made to the ASPCA to help animals, or to the Disabled Veterans of America.
