Fleetwood, Billy Joe "Bill" 2/15/1937 - 7/28/2016 Lawrence Passed away Thursday July 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Billy was born February 15, 1937 in Jefferson County, MO and had lived in the Lawrence area the past many years. He enjoyed auctions and was known for "wheeling and dealing." He loved his dogs dearly and playing cards. Bill was a true entrepreneur and loved working on deals, especially real estate. He also founded Fleetwood Supply in 1976 which still exists today as Fleetwood Enterprise. After 1974, he owned, ran and operated several businesses around the area. Bill owned race cars and horses and also enjoyed watching Nascar. Surviving is his wife, Geraldine; 10 children, Belinda Piller, Michael (Deborah) Fleetwood, Amy (Paul) Nielsen, Beth (Donald) LaRue, Kathryn (Thomas) Marsh, Thomas (Cindy) Fleetwood, Sabrina (Joseph) Streit, Stephen (Renee) Hostetler, Daniel (Carisa Sweet) Hostetler, Dain (Molly Hayward) Webster; 31 grand children; 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Hicks; a sister, Linda Fleetwood. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Leanin, who passed November 14, 1987; his parents, Georgia and Noah Hicks; and a brother, Edward Hicks. The family will meet friends on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, 11 AM at Townline United Methodist Church, Pastor Jim Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association .
