James William "Bill" Nagle of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Age 87. Bill was born in Kalamazoo to Annabelle Monroe and Perry Nagle on November 26, 1929, delivered by Dr. Homer Stryker. His sense of adventure started at an early age driving his Cushman Motor Scooter back from Mississippi at the age of 16. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a Paratrooper in 11th Airborne in 1945. He was married to Nancy King on November 19, 1966 and they enjoyed fifty years of marriage. Together they owned Nagles Top Dog, formerly Dairy Isle, since 1958. He enjoyed air racing shore to shore in his Mongoose and Knight Twister bi-planes. He owned a forty-two foot cabin cruiser that he and Nancy had many great parties and fun times on. He recently became an avid lover of classic cars. Bill was proud of the wonderful mileage he got with his three Prius's that he owned. Bill was a lover of all animals, especially his beloved Chihuahuas. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Nagle; two daughters, Gayle Nagle of Idaho and Sharon Papke of Grand Rapids; two nephews, Marc (Denise) Pence and Mike (Sherri) Pence; and one niece, Mary (Kryn) Kievit; and one sister, Anna Marie (Charles) Pence. Friends may visit with the family from 10 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. James Dyke. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
