Beverly Williams

Beverly E. Williams, age 88, of Portage, MI passed away Saturday morning, September 10, 2016 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Beverly was born September 7, 1928 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Terry Elliott and Leone (Moss) Gurney. She was a sales clerk for various companies and enjoyed spending time with her family and doing crossword puzzles. On August 13, 1948 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Griffith Williams who preceded her in death on September 11, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Terry Elliott. Beverly is survived by her children, Diane (Dennis) Simon, Michael (Patricia) Williams, Karen (Steven) Barber, John Williams; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, September 15 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre. Friends may meet the family Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service. Interment will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 16 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice.
