Beverly Jean Lewis

Passed away Monday afternoon, January 20, 2020. Bev was born December 4, 1930 in Three Rivers, MI the daughter of the late Leonard and Mae (Goldsmith) Butler. She was a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing and was a surgical registered nurse at Bronson Hospital for nearly 30 years working in the operating room. Bev regularly attended Berean Baptist Church and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was also involved with the Gideon's, Stephen Ministries, and Kid's Hope. On December 27, 1980 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Lewis, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Diane (Brian) Boerman, Roger (Donna) Francisco; step-daughter, Linda (Daniel) Hartley; 4 grandchildren, Nick Boerman, Alexis, Kennedy, and Kevin Francisco; sisters, Norma Palmer, Sandy Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Bev was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Francisco in 1977; and 3 brothers, Leonard, Jr., Robert, and Ray Butler. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 15 at Berean Baptist Church, 7813 S. 12th Street in Portage. Friends may meet the family from 12:00-1:00pm at the church prior to the service. Private interment will be held at a later date.
