Beverly Grace Zurawski, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. Beverly was born in Milwaukee on August 3, 1934, daughter of the late Arthur and Grace (nee: Kotvis) Mackey. On July 10, 1954 she was united in marriage to Walter Zurawski in Racine. Walter preceded her in death on November 10, 2014.

Beverly, also known as Bev to her friends and family, was a graduate of William Horlick High School. She was employed at Massey-Ferguson, Oster and then worked for Racine Unified School District for many years and retired from there in 1995.

Bev was an amazing person who loved life and lived it to the fullest and appreciated all acts of kindness no matter how small they might be. She was the most positive person you would ever meet and was always thoughtful of others. Displaying her patriotic side could be seen often by the clothes and jewelry she preferred to wear. She was an avid reader who thoroughly enjoyed having the latest gadgets and learning how to use them. She liked photography and would always have her camera with her to take pictures of any situation that arose and then she would have copies of them made for everyone to enjoy, culminating in an award she had won for a picture she took in the Adirondacks. Her love for traveling took her not only to most of our United States but to Europe and several exotic destinations; she enjoyed camping and loved tubing down the Apple and Wolf rivers. The days she visited Six Flags Great America were an all day affair as she stayed from the time it opened right up to closing time, but above all, she loved spending time with her family whom she adored and blessed all of our little hearts. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and friend. She will forever and always be deeply missed by her family.

Survivors include sons Gregg Zurawski (fiancée, Kenya Benitez), Lane Zurawski; her daughters Jody (Cary) O'Brien, Rondi (Gregg) Olson, Shelli (Ron) Farnsworth; her 10 grandchildren, Emily (Matty) Kenoyer, Nic Smith-Zurawski, Kaitlin Csonka (fiancée, Michael Clancy), Megan (Maks) Goldenshteyn, Allison (Justin) Goar, April (David) Venne, Lane Olson, Miles Farnsworth (fiancée, Blanca Ramos) Tyler (Katie) Farnsworth, and Joshua Farnsworth; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Faith and Maddison Venne; sisters Jacque (David) Olson and Karyne Frank; sisters-in-law Ann Zurawski and Jan Caretta; brother-in-law Don (Lee) Zurawski; special extended family, Marla Smith, Ron and Dee Nelson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Mackey.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 24, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Monday at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at 10:00 A.M. Memorials to St. Monica’s Senior Living have been suggested.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at St. Monica's Senior Living for their loving and compassionate care as Bev considered St. Monica's her home for many years.
