Beverley Lang

Beverley M. Lang, age 93, of Portage, MI passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 10, 2018. Bev was born January 8, 1925 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Daniel and Clara (Hetrick) Cree and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. Prior to her retirement she was employed as an administrative assistant for various legal and engineering companies in the area. Bev was a member of Comstock Church of Christ and enjoyed watching NASCAR, and Detroit Tiger baseball. She also enjoyed playing dominos, swimming, boating, and spending time with her family and friends. On February 23 she was united in marriage to her loving husband Gustave "Gus", who preceded her in death on February 15, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Doonan; and her brother, Dale Cree. She is survived by her children, Dayna Alexander, Jan (David) Erskine, Clark Lang; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Channing Cooper, April Allard, Taylor Lang, and Connor Lang; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 5-8pm Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13 from 10-ll:00am at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre where services will be held at 11:00am Saturday. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Comstock Church of Christ or Heartland Hospice.
