Betty Thompson

Betty Shafer Thompson, age 86, of Allegan, MI passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, peacefully in her sleep at Briarwood Assisted Living in Allegan. She was a graduate of Hopkins High School Class of 1949 and attended Davenport College. Betty was a farmer and lived her entire life in Allegan County on her Monterey Township farm. She is survived by her sisters and their husbands, Norma (Morris) Handlogten, Linda (James) Weick; nephews and nieces, Deborah Dufour, Roger Handlogten, Robert Weick, Callie Weick; and her good friend Rick Meade. Burial will be at Poplar Hill Cemetery overlooking her farm. Per her request, there will be no funeral services.
