Srackangast, Betty L. of Kalamazoo Betty passed away on Friday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born on August 17, 1927 in Kalamazoo, one of nine children to the late George Lester and Irene V. (Fleckenstein) Leversee. Surviving are three children, James Srackangast of Concord, NC, Beth (Earl) Jackson of Covington, TN, and Sue (Colin) Hanna of Scotts; nine grandchildren; brother: Gerald (Neva) Leversee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, George V. Srackangast; daughter, Sharon Kooyers; two grandchildren, Kurt Srackangast and Corey Shields; and seven siblings, Lester Leversee, Elaine Hobbs, Raymond 'Bud' Leversee, Harold Leversee, Lois Wertz, Barb Paff and Gloria Leversee. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday, Dec. 19, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. A service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
