Betty Perigo

Betty L. Perigo of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Betty was born in Kalamazoo to the late Henry and Christine (Potts) Potgiesser. She was united in marriage to Erial "Bill" Perigo who preceded her in death on February 28, 1985. Betty was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church and later with Bethany Reformed Church. She loved gardening and working in her yard. She enjoyed crocheting and made many keepsakes for her family members. She loved all animals, domestic and wild. But most of all, she was the best mother and grandmother. Betty is survived by her son, Terry (Linda) Richards; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly (Mark) Multer, Lisa (Bert) DeGraaf and Julie (Tad) Scheeler; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was also preceded in death by siblings, John Potgiesser and Margaret Quick. The family will greet friends on Monday, September 12th from 10-12:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Committal service will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials in Betty's name may be directed to any animal rescue agency of choice or to Hospice Care of S.W. Michigan.
