Betty Jo Mault, age 88, of Portsmouth, OH passed away Nov. 18, 2016 in Portsmouth. She was born Nov. 14, 1928. Betty Jo worked as an LPN at the former Scioto Memorial Hospital in the pediatrics department for 20 years. She was a 1971 graduate of the former Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. Surviving are three sons, William (Jennifer) Earl Mault of IL, Daniel (Rebecca) Mault of Portsmouth and Marion (Tammie) Mault of Clarksville, TN; three daughters, Deborah (Robert) Fraley and Melissa (Joseph Nichols) Barry, of Portsmouth, and Tempest "Barbara" (Jaime) Allen, MD of Kalamazoo, MI; two sisters, Margaret Ann McCoy of Portsmouth and Mary Jane Fannin of Proctorville; 15 grandchildren, including Abigail and Logan Allen of Kalamazoo; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
