Betty Kyle, age 79, sadly passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Betty was born in Oklanona, Mississippi, October 6, 1936 daughter of the late Essie Mae (Ezell Bogan) and George Bogan Sr..

At an early age Betty confessed her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Betty was employed at the Corner House Restaurant for 32 years and was a long time member of Greater St. Luke’s Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing church music on Sundays but most of all she treasured the time spent with her family, especially her host of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory 7 children, Melvin (Marilyn) Kyle, Bettie (James) Constantine, Doris Kyle, Mary Kyle-Joseph, Eva Kyle-Carodian, Maleria Kyle, and Dennis Kyle; 34 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; siblings, James (Lillie) Bogan, Joe Lee Bogan, and Leron Bogan; sister-in-law,Virgie Bogan; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, LV Kyle; son, Ricky Kyle; a sister, Madia B. Bogan; brothers, Elmer “Rob” Bogan, and George Bogan, Jr.and a great granddaughter, Damia Greer

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, at Greater St. Luke’s Baptist Church, 10-11 A.M. with a Homegoing service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joseph Pipes officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
