Betty King

Betty Ruth King, 88, of South Haven, MI passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community under Hospice care. She was born March 10, 1928 to Ray and Nellie (Forster) Foster in Cooper Township, Michigan. Betty graduated from Otsego High School. She married Terry King on August 26, 1960 and shared 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2005. Betty worked for Four Star Plating before her retirement. She is preceded in death along with her parents and husband by a son Lory King, two daughters Linda Hammond, and Annette McLellan, six brothers and three sisters. Betty is survived by her sons - Terry King of South Haven and Gary (Trish) King of San Antonio, five daughters Francis Pierce of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackie (Ron) Filmore of Otsego, Cathy (Richard) Allen and Betty (Tom) Walker both of Battle Creek, and Diana (Jerry) Claoson of Plainwell. Several grandchildren and many great grandchildren also survive. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township. The family is being helped by the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven, 637-0333.
