Brown , Betty Jean Grand Blanc, MI Age 90, died February 22, 2022. Betty was born July 30, 1931, in Paw Paw, the daughter of James and Lucia (Scotese) Marcelletti. She graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1949 and attended Nazareth College and Michigan State. She worked for several years in what was then the family-owned business, The Fruit Growers Package Company. In 1956, she married her husband, David, and moved to Richland. In 1966, she was elected the Richland Village Treasurer, a position she held until 1971. In 1970, she was elected the Richland Township Clerk, an office she held for 22 years until her retirement in 1992. She was also a member of the Borgess Service League and St. Ann's Catholic Church. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. Betty took great pride in her family and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving to cherish her memory are one son David (Carolyn) of Milford; one daughter Lori (Jeffrey) Kline of Grand Blanc; and three grandchildren, David Brown, Gabrielle Kline, and Kenton Kline, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, her parents, three sisters, Philomena Marcelletti, Yolanda Denner, and Florence Joachim, and three brothers, Patrick, Frank, and Rudy. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on 11 AM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 E D Ave, Augusta, MI 49012 with Fr. David Pinto celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Saturday, March 26 at the church. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Richland immediately following the Mass.
