Age 99 of Three Rivers died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Three Rivers. She was born in Central Lake, Michigan on March 15, 1918 the daughter of Walter and Flora (King) Lamerson. She was married to Howard Sult on Nov. 3, 1934 in Mishawaka, Indiana. They resided in Vicksburg for many years where she was a homemaker, and her husband operated the Vicksburg Saw Mill. After 1950 they wintered in Tarpon Springs, FL and beginning in the 70's spent their summers in South Haven. Bethel served on the church board at the Free Methodist Church in Holiday, Florida and was active in the choir and Women's Group. She also worked to promote mission work within the church and was currently attending the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Bethel was a devoted wife and mother, and proudly earned her G.E.D. at the age of 70. She enjoyed cooking for her family and quilting. Bethel is survived by five children, Arden (Penny) Sult, Dale (Marty) Sult, Barbara (John) Hoffman all of Vicksburg, Bernie Sult of Fulton, and Beth Anne Miller of Grand Ledge; 12 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard in 2002; three brothers, Victor, Lawrence, and Chester Lamerson; three sisters, Dorothy Maki, Glenna Simmerman, and Ardis Tackis; 3 infant siblings; and son in law, Paul Miller The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Dave Downs officiating. The family will also receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church located at 7520 East U Avenue, Vicksburg, MI 49097. Burial will be in Vicksburg Cemetery.
