The funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Friday morning for the church at 10:35 AM.

There will be a procession to Holy Cross Cemetery Immediately following the Funeral Mass.

Barbara L. Novakowski. Barbara made her decision to be in peace surrounded with prayers, grace of enduring family and friends, on October 6, 2015. She was preceded by her husband Edward J Novakowski Sr., son Michael Novakowski, son Joseph Novakowski, father along with mother John and Clara Myszka, sister Katherine Myszka, and brother Frank (Buddy) Myszka. her grandchildren, Natividad, Angelina and Joline, her great grandchildren, Austin and Darien. She is survived by children: Edward Jr (April) Novakowski, Richard (Bonnie) Novakowski, Marianne (James) Vesper, Annie Novakowski, Paul Novakowski. Sisters: Theresa Remington, Sue (Bob) Walters, and Patricia (Paul) Luhrs; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 7 great- great grandchildren along with extended family, Tom and Eileen Gietzen family. Barb was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society. The family cannot express enough the people that walked this journey with us, including the loving and caring staff of Visiting Angels and Spectrum-Health Hospice. We feel blessed for the prayers, love and compassionate contributions that people offered to the family and Barbara through her transition to peace . May God Bless you all. Barbara was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 156 Valley Ave NW, where the Mass of Christian Burial with procession to Holy Cross Cemetery on Friday morning at 11:00 am (procession leaving from the funeral home at 10:35 am) . Relatives and friends may meet her family on Thursday from 6-9 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW.with the rosary prayed on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM.
