Barbara Hageman

Barbara J. Hageman, age 61, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away peacefully August 22, 2015. Barb was born on March 5, 1954 to the late Meinard and Thelma (Ludwig) Hageman, in Kalamazoo. She worked at the Kalamazoo Public Library for 20 years. Barb loved NASCAR, country music, and word searches. She always stood out for her positive outlook and her bright colored shoes and socks. Barb was the family archive as she knew all the dates and details. She will be missed by her brothers, Ron (Peggy) Hageman of Onalaska, WA, Steve (Joyce) Hageman of Marshall, MI, and Al (Sue) Hageman of Columbia, SC. Also surviving are her uncle, Lloyd Ludwig of Portage; many nieces and nephews; a great niece; a great nephew; a special cousin, Tom Hageman of Portage; and her special friend of 34 years, John DeVries of Kalamazoo. Besides her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Terry & Judi. Friends may visit Barb's family Wednesday, August 26th, from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 11 o'clock, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Burial will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
