Barbara Green

Barbara Emma Green of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the age of 95. She is with her beloved husband of 61 1/2 years, John and son, James. Barbara passed away peacefully with family and loved ones around her. She was born in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Nellie and James VanBoven. Barbara worked at Beecher Kymer and then Miller Davis, until she retired in 1985. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with her many friends and family. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Eleanor (Donald) James, daughter-in-law, Susan Green, four grandchildren, Pamela (Anton) Bommersbach, Karen (Brent) Tingley, Lori (Timothy) Green, Kimberly Green and seven great-grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
