Barbara Joyce “Barb” Clous was freed from the chains of her earthly body and is now free to dance in heaven. She passed away on September 19, 2015 at the age of 67.

Barb was born on September 5, 1948 to Edson and Marie (Morris) Forrester in Traverse City. She was raised in Muskegon and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1967. She was active in 4-H growing up and her passion for cooking and sewing lead to her becoming a 4-H leader to her daughters in her adult life.

She married Authur Clous on August 4, 1984 in Buckley. Barb enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on sewing projects and cooking for everyone. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Art of Buckley and daughters Julie Ingles, of Mesick, Tammie (Pat) Tewart, of Ludington, Lea (Douglas) Boman, of Buckley and Jacqueline (Larry) Buroker, also of Mesick. Grandchildren: Ashley Rittenhouse (Clarence Clous), Justin Rittenhouse, Tarren Clous (Matthew Osredkar), Zackery Meteer (Alisha Lemcool), Emmet Meteer, Makenna Clous, Myiesha Meteer, Helen Thompson, Allison Boman, Shane Ingles, Larry Buroker and Arthur Buroker. Great-grandchildren: Kayden, Mackenzie, Chloe, Kylie and Ivy. She is also survived by her siblings: Alan Forrester and Jeffrey (Tracy) Forrester, both of Suttons Bay and Tina Forrester of Buckley. Brothers-in-law: Gerald Clous, David (Rosalie) Clous and Lawrence (Janice) Clous. Sisters-in-law, Debra Forrester, Mavis Clous and Susan (Patrick)Buchan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Edson Forrester, two brothers, Walter and Anthony Forrester as well as her father-in-law, Raymond Clous and sister-in-law, Carol Clous.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held for family and friends on Saturday, October 3 from 1:00pm to 4pm at the clubhouse at the Buckley Old Engine Showgrounds.
