Life Story / Obituary
She was so small, so beautiful, so full of hope and promise.
What a blessing she has been to all of us who knew her those few short months.
She taught us to love, to hope beyond expectations, to trust in that which is unseen.
She drew us together in our anxiety, our moments of despair and hopelessness, as well as our joy and delight, and in her every breath.
Her life ended prematurely, just so had she been born. Too soon to die. We wept. We hugged and held one another. The tears continue.
The pain will always linger. Our hearts emptier for her absence and the unfilled dreams she promised. But the love she brought into our lives will be forever.
Thank you Lord for giving her to us. Thank you for the blessing that she will always be. Thank you for the love we would have never known, but for her and her brief days with us.
Thank you for Ava our blessed child of grace.
In the early afternoon of March 10th, 2016 Ava Georgia Hamilton peacefully passed away in the loving arms of her mother, with her father by her side. After a long 4 month battle with congenital pulmonary vein stenosis, Ava went home to heaven.
Ava was born November 4th, 2015 weighing 3lbs. 1 oz. at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids. She shares her birthdate with her triplet siblings Makena and Braxton. Despite being over a pound less than her siblings, Ava came into the world wide eyed and alert. Her journey began in the NICU with her triplet siblings by her side. After some minor ups and downs Ava was given the devastating diagnosis of congenital pulmonary vein stenosis. She went through two heart catheterizations and two open heart surgeries in a matter of two months. During this difficult time, Ava's personality shined through, giving strength to her parents and loved ones. Her dynamic personality was the perfect mix of sweetness and joy along side her fight and spunk. Ava made everyone smile around her while at the same time fighting through her difficult diagnosis. She loved listening to music, cooing, cuddling, and spending time with her family.
Ava is survived by her loving parents Mike and Sarah Hamilton, her big brother Maddox, and her triplet siblings Makena and Braxton.
