Aurelle M. Marchel

Aurelle Marie Marchel, age 82, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at Elizabeth Residence. She was born in Stevens Point, WI, December 27, 1932 daughter of the late Severin and Agnes (Nee: Betker) Marchel.

Aurelle was a dedicated elementary school teacher for Racine Unified School District. Her 40 years of teaching were spent at Crestview and Janes Schools. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Aurelle was a loving, generous free-spirited lady and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sister, Jean (George) Fox; brother-in-law, Ron Mack; nieces, Marlene (Rob) Backus, Debbie (Zack) Smith, Myra Fox; nephews, Dorian (Rhonda) Weronke, David (Nilsa) Mack, Mark Fox. She is also survived by a great niece, Karre (David) Hermann and great nephew, Craig Backus. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Angela (George) Weronke, Emily Mack; brother, Theodore Marchel.

Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Thursday, June 25, 2015, 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. A Prayer service will be held at 11:00 A.M. followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
