McDade, Augustus E. "Gus" Gus McDade, age 64, passed away on Friday evening, June 17, 2016 in Kalamazoo. He was born on June 2, 1952 in Flint, MI a son of Augustus P. and Mary (Petro) McDade. He worked in various manufacturing jobs and currently was employed at Mann + Hummel. Gus was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go fishing. On October 20, 1979 Gus married the former Susan Makowski in the Cathedral of St. Augustine. Gus is survived by his wife, Susan; two children, Jon A. McDade of Kalamazoo and Jessica (Kalan) McPherson of Portage; a granddaughter Leona McPherson; His parents Augustus and Mary McDade of Boca Raton, FL; six siblings, James (Margee) McDade, Pat Armstrong, Cecelia McDade, Mark (Nancy) McDade, Paul McDade and Matthew (Michelle) McDade, a brother-in-law, Dave (Judy) Makowski; three sisters-in-law, Pat (Carl) Martensen, Barb Makowski and Paula Makowski; and many nieces and nephews.
