Arthur F. DaPra, passed away on his 76th birthday, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, FL. He was born the eldest of eight children in Michigan, March 22, 1939, son of the late Alphonse and Elizabeth (Nee: Johnson) DaPra.

On February 15, 1958 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Ironwood, Michigan he was united in marriage to Carol A. Longhini. Arthur was employed by J.I. Case Company for eighteen years, retiring from Waukesha Cherry –Burrell in 2001. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, but more than anything he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Carol; his children, Jeffrey DaPra of Naples, FL, Gregory (Monica) DaPra of Racine, Susan (John) Cantele of Chicago, IL, Patrick (Judy) DaPra of Spring, TX, Steven (Michelle) DaPra of Katy, TX; his thirteen grandchildren, Dominic (Kelly) DaPra, Erik DaPra, Joel (Nicole) DaPra, Travis DaPra, Daniel (Jamie) DaPra, Gina DaPra, Anthony Cantele, Matthew DaPra, Jack Cantele, Christine DaPra, Taylor DaPra, Caroline DaPra, Alec DaPra; his three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan, and Roman; brothers and sisters, Charles (Shirley) DaPra of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara (Joe) Walli of Greenfield, Margaret (Dan) Re of Iron River, MI, Patty (Tom) Kulik of St. Louis, MO, David (Jenelle) DaPra, Michelle (Jeff) Bria, all of Minneapolis, MN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marguerite (Wilfred) Legault, Richard Longhini, Jackie Longhini; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James; sister-in-law, Rita Longhini; brother-in-law William Longhini Jr.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Helia Longhini.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 28, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
