Died peacefully with his wife and three daughters by his side on July 24, 2019. Art is lovingly remembered by his wife, Evelyn, of 68 years, children, Loralee Trinkle (Jim), Renee Cherette (Mike) and Nancy Groendal (Mark). Art was a deeply proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Justin Robinson, Nancy Belkoski (Bernie), Derek Trinkle (Heather), Jennifer Julius and Jeff Julius (Meredith), two great grandchildren, Cole Robinson and Madeline Trinkle, sister, Toni Rouhib, sister-in-law Bobbie Dowel, many nieces and nephew. Art was born in Hamtramck Michigan on July 9, 1927. He was preceded in death by his great grandson, Charlie Trinkle, brothers Richard Podolski, Conrad Dowel and his parents, Stanley and Joanne Podolski. Art retired from Lakeland Litho where he worked for many years as a Color Artist. After his family, Art loved so many things in life all of which he mastered in all sports, cooking, fishing, hiking, biking, fossil hunting, camping out west, taking his family every summer from Tucson to Banff, traveling to Europe numerous times with his wife and daughters. Art was a member of the Michigan Mineralogical Society where he was a volunteer Wholesale Dealer Chairman for the Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show for over 35 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Vicinia Gardens of Otsego for the love and care they extended to our dear father in his final months. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be taking place at the Chapel of Flowers in the temple of memories at The White Chapel Cemetery located at 621 W. Long Lake Road in Troy, MI on Saturday, July 27th visitation and service at 11:00. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Audubon Society for Art's love of birds.
