Arnold Grace of Racine, WI

Arnold Grace, also known by his family as "Papa Ano & Nolio" and by his friends/co-workers as “The Big Kahuna” was 69 years young when he passed away, unexpectedly, on Monday; June 15, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center in Racine, WI due to a heart complication which ironically is similar to how he loss his own father when he was a very young child.

Arnold was born on the Hawaiian Island of O'ahu at Kuakini Hospital in Honolulu, HI on November 10th, 1945 to the late George Ka'ohu Grace of Nāpo'opo'o, HI and Marie (nee: Ceasar) (Grace) Wong of Honolulu, HI.

On August 20th, 1976 he was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, his sweetheart, his "Doll", Theresa Alice Antonia (nee: Nobriga) (Cortez) Grace at Ka Mākua Mau Loa (Church of the Living God) in Kalihi, HI.

Arnold was employed by S.C. Johnson Wax, Inc., at the time, first at their Halawa, HI location as a truck/delivery driver and a warehouse/production worker.

On top of his day job at Johnson, Arnold was also holding down multiple jobs in order to make ends meet for his family, jobs that included semi-truck driving and janitorial services.

Arnold just loved meeting & making many friends along the way of all of his journeys.

In 1992, Arnold & Theresa Grace made a hard decision to leave their home in Hawaii for the betterment of their family. They uprooted some of their grandchildren and transferred to Johnson's Racine location where he continued to be a valuable asset to the company up until the day that he retired in 2006.

In Hawai'i, Arnold was a member & served on the board in the Full Gospel Businessman Fellowship as a Treasurer.

In Wisconsin, Arnold was a proud member of the S.C. Johnson's Twenty Year Club.

Arnold took great pride in caring for his yard/home. He just loved gardening with his wife on beautiful days & spending quality time with all of his beautiful blessed 'ohana (family).

Arnold would shock his loved ones back home in Hawaii because he would always say how he really loved the cold weather here in Racine and although he missed everyone so very dearly back in Hawai'i, where the weather is tropical on most days, he desired to live here where he felt cool and comfortable.

You could often find Arnold out in the freezing cold shoveling snow in nothing but his wife-beaters, some shorts and a pair of flip-flops or as we Hawaiians called them rubber slippers.

In fact Arnold would not only shovel his own driveway but also be helping in his neighbors driveways on Neptune Circle, too especially the elderly and widowed. Neptune Circle is definitely a place where everyone loved one another like close friends some also as close like family.

Arnold was a mighty man of God. He was a God-loving yet God-fearing man and he just enjoyed reading the bible every chance that he could on a daily bases.

Arnold devoted his life to God & taught his legacies, his precious jewels all about the mighty God that he served.

Arnold prayed constantly for all of his loved ones and sang praises of glory to God all day long.

Arnold sure had a beautiful, intimate relationship with God and it surely reflect brightly throughout his life and achievements.

More than anything, Arnold treasured the most is his precious time that he spent with his family, especially his children, his grand children and his great-grand children, his legacies.

Arnold will be truly & dearly missed by all that loves him, his memories will be cherished and he will live on through them all.
