Arlene Hamilton

Arlene J. Hamilton, age 73, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, June 25, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mrs. Hamilton was born July 8, 1942 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Quillen) Weidman. Arlene spent over 30 years of her life working as an RN; first at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL., and later at Allegan General Hospital. Her love for humanity made her exceptionally good at taking care of others and being of service to them. Arlene also loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife around her home, as well as gardening. She and her husband, William, had a great sense of adventure and would have some of their best times together traveling, where they would snorkel and investigate their surroundings. They were blessed to be able to spend 54 years together as husband and wife. Arlene is survived by her loving husband, William; her children: Debra and Charles Troy, Sherri Whitlock and John Kolar, Dawn and Greg Wornhoff; nine grandchildren: Shawn, Melissa, Christopher, Adam, Corrie, Robert, Ashley, Nicholas, and Chevy; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Doug and Judy Wiedman and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Hamilton. In remembrance of Arlene, there will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 1, at The Silo (1071 32nd St., Allegan) from 3-5pm.
