Passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at her home. Arlene was born June 21, 1942 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Wayne and Violet (Barber) Blodgett, and lived in the Gobles area for the majority of her life. Arlene was an excellent mother who enjoyed music, dancing, bowling and life. She is survived by her 4 children, Steven (Alana Stahl) Roden of Shelbyville, Libby (Bob) Silvers of Hartselle, AL, Cliff Roden of Gobles, Hollis Roden of Gobles; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Lyle Blodgett of TN, Stanley (Lulu) Blodgett of Gobles; sister, Sandie Unger; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Roden; grandson, Justin; and 18 brothers and sisters. The family will meet friends 1 – 2 PM Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com, where the funeral will be 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery.
