Ardith Schieber

Ardith E. Schieber, age 91, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away early Sunday afternoon, April 19, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on September 10, 1923 in Climax, the daughter of Hessel and Orrell (Blodgett) Jones. In 1941, Ardith graduated from Climax High School. On October 4, 1943, she was united in marriage to Dale E. Schieber. Ardith was a member of Galesburg United Methodist Church, Friends of The Galesburg Historical Museum and Friends of the Galesburg Memorial Library. Surviving are her three children, Cynthia (Bill) Terry of Kalamazoo, Suzanne (Bill) Gates of Galesburg and Bradford (Robyn) Schieber of Kalamazoo; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jean Jones of Climax. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dale, in Feb. 2012 and brother, Claire Jones. A memorial service for Ardith will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 23, at Galesburg First United Methodist Church, 111 W. Battle Creek Street, with Pastor Len Schoenherr officiating, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Private inurnment will be in Ft.
