Ardis Mejeur

Ardis June Mejeur, age 79 of Kalamazoo, MI went home to be with her Lord on August 6, 2017. Ardis was born April 28, 1938 in Plainwell, MI, the daughter of John and Margaret (DeYoung) Bishop. She graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School. On March 14, 1958, she was united in marriage to Alvin "Bud" Mejeur. They were longtime members of the Second Christian Reformed Church. Family was a very important part of Ardis' life. She enjoyed raising her daughters and especially enjoyed the opportunity to spend many hours caring for her grandchildren. Ardis worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. Surviving are her husband Bud; their two daughters Rhonda Mejeur and husband Jeffrey Jackson and Debra Boven and husband Robert Boven; grandchildren Owen, Molly and Henry Jackson, triplets Justin, Jessica and Rachel Boven and Luke Boven; siblings Elaine Juhl, Sandra (Clarence) Tinklenberg, Douglas (Sarah) Bishop, Nancy (Henry) Tuinstra; in-laws Sue (Bill) Weidenaar, Jim (Cindy) Mejeur, Bob (Donna) Mejeur, Carol Hensley, Mary (Doug) VanderMeulen, Ron (Rhoda) Mejeur and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 10th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Friday, August 11th at the Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd. with Rev. John Bothof officiating. A private family interment will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Ardis' memory may be directed to Bethany Christian Services or Second Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
