Anthony S. Porcaro, age 99, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his residence. Anthony was born in Racine, September 14, 1917, son of the late Fiore “George” and Barbara (Nee: DeNotto) Porcaro.

During World War II Anthony proudly served in the United States Army Air Force and was stationed in the Philippines. On May 15, 1948 he was united in marriage to Yolanda J. Rende who preceded him in death on their wedding anniversary in 2005. He was employed by Racine Hydraulics for forty-six years, retiring in 1982, and belonged to “25 Plus Year Club.” Anthony was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Roma Lodge. He was a sports enthusiast who especially enjoyed watching Packer and Brewer games. He also took pride in his perfectly manicured lawn and bushes, and he will be fondly remembered by his family for having the best kept yard in Racine both summer and winter. Above all, Anthony enjoyed times shared with his devoted family.

He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his children, Dennis (Nina) Porcaro, Mark (Missy) Porcaro, Anthony (Barbara) Porcaro; his nine grandchildren, Dominic (Beth) Porcaro, Eva (Mike) Gulotta, Alan Porcaro, Amanda Staudinger, Marcus Porcaro, Matthew Porcaro, Mario Porcaro, Anthony (Kelsey) Porcaro, Michael Porcaro; his five great-grandchildren, Mariana Porcaro, Lucas Porcaro, Zachary Porcaro, David Gulotta and Leonardo Gulotta; sister, Betty Valente of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters-in-law, Josephine Porcaro of Racine, Carmella Rende of Brookfield, WI and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Herman Porcaro, Frank Porcaro, Joe Porcaro, Earl Porcaro, Rose Porcaro, Mary Matagrano, Grace Mascari, Louise Young, and Lucille Brusha.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 30, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street. Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. (Roma Lodge Service at 6:30 P.M.) and Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.

A very special thank you to the staff at Primrose and Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care.
