Anthony Rector

Age 57, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and special friend Tammy. Tony was born in Kalamazoo on March 2, 1961, the son of Francis and Ginny (Shubert) Rector. Tony was a kind and loving man. He was a hard worker and gifted electrician. He was selfless and was always willing to help others. When not working he enjoyed fishing, listening to music, taking trips with friends to Silver Lake and spending time with family. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by those who loved him. He was preceded in passing by his father Francis. He is survived by his mother, Ginny; two daughters, Elysia (Austin) Turner and Tyler Rector; three grandchildren, Michael, Colton and Logan; three siblings, Debbie (Bill) Clock, Pam (Randy) Howe and Lisa (Eric) DeBarr; nephew, Brad (Kaitlin) Howe and their children; niece, Jenna (Scott) Bauers; special friend, Tammy Nash-England; and his companion cat "Bosco." In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 12:00pm Saturday July 14, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Friends may meet the family from 11:00-12:00pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Richland Animal Rescue or Heartland Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
