Anthony Brown

Died Friday morning May 18, 2018. Tony was born April 20, 1968 in Colby, Kansas, a son of Robert and Alice (Mathes) Brown. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2008. He was the president of the Kalamazoo Area Renal Support Group (KARSG), which he very passionate about, spreading the word & helping patients & families dealing with Kidney Disease. He was a wonderful person who touched so many lives. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Robert in 2011. On April 25, 2009, he was united in marriage to Cynthia G. Trompeter-Brown, who survives. Also surviving, a step-daughter, Marissa Connell of Kalamazoo, MI; a step-son, Gabriel Connell, of Tempe, AZ; a daughter, Emily (Dennis) VanScoik of Sturgis, MI; his mother, Alice Brown of Rossville, KS; 2 sisters, Barbara Brown of Colorado and Catherine Brown of Kansas; 4 grandchildren, and several cousins.
