Annabella McDonald Batchelder, age 89, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Elizabeth Gardens. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, March 26, 1928, daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Nee: McDonald) Hill.
On May 21, 1949 she was united in marriage to Clayton H. Batchelder who preceded her in death, October 8, 2014. Annabella was employed for twenty-three years by the Kurten Medical Group.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Barbara (Joseph) Falduto of Fort Meyers, FL, Janet (Joseph) Schmidt of Black River Falls; her grandchildren, Nick (Christy) Schmidt, Ryan (Cindy) Roeschen, Alex (Bridget) Schmidt, Leslie Falduto (Jon) Shipley, Lindsey Falduto (Nicholas) Copollo; eight great-grandchildren; sister, June (Harry) Christensen of Atlanta, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Morgan Rae Schmidt.
Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Elizabeth Gardens, 5111 Wright Avenue, Racine, WI 53406 or to Heartland Hospice, 9114 58th Place #500, Kenosha, WI 53144 have been suggested.
