Anna, age 88, died Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021 at Beacon Pointe Assisted Living, Richland, MI with her loving family at her side. Anna, the daughter of George and Olga (Bartch) Kraus, was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 25, 1933; was a 1951 graduate of Shaler High School, Pittsburgh and moved to Kalamazoo in 1967. She was employed as Administrative Assistant for the United SteelWorkers, where she made lifelong friends. Anna enjoyed many activities, including being a 20 year member of the Pedal Pushers Garden Club, Yorkville Church Women's Guild, and a volunteer at Bronson Hospital. She met a wonderful group of friends at Water Aerobics and her Bible Study groups. Anna was one of the "BAAD" girls, with whom she enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing, and dinners. Anna lived her life with a focus on kindness and fortitude. She was always willing to help family and friends achieve success. Anna was united in marriage to James Edward "Jim" Wunderly in Pittsburgh on September 4, 1953 and he sadly preceded her in death on February 22, 2018. Surviving is her daughter, Kathy (John) Arnoldi of Muskegon, MI; her son, Dr. Douglas (Dr. Jacqueline) Wunderly of Richland; five precious grandchildren, Dr. Ashely (Nick) Arnoldi Moeller of Carmel, IN; Kevin Wunderly of Richland; Ryan Wunderly of Irvine, CA; Taylor (Ema) Allen of Charlotte, NC and Eric (Andrea) Arnoldi of Presque Isle, MI; and a precious great great grandson, Oliver Arnoldi. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jackie Kraus of Severna Park, MD, and her nephews Ron (Ellen) Kraus, and Kip (Heather) Kraus, also of Severna Park, MD, along with her extended family, Linda and Al Wilkinson, Amanda and Michael Wilkinson and their children, Emma and Tenley of Hastings who knew Anna as their G.G. Anna was also preceded in death by her brother, Harvin Kraus and special friends, Bob and Dorothy Maitland. The funeral service to celebrate Anna's life was held on Thursday, December 2nd at the Yorkville Community Church, Richland with the Rev. John DeKruyter of Kalamazoo, officiating. Interment was held next to her husband, Jim in Yorkville Cemetery, Ross Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwestern Michigan, 7100 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
