Prak, Anna Mae 6/15/1933 - 11/23/2016 Dowagiac, MI Anna Mae Prak age 83 of Dowagiac passed away Wed. Nov. 3, 2016 in Forest Glen assisted Living in Dowagiac. She was born June 15, 1933 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Wayne L. and Bernice (Slack) Van Auken. She was formerly employed by Dowagiac Union Schools in the cafeteria, Tru-Flex and Woolworths in Dowagiac. She was a member of the Ladies Aux. to VFW Celery City Post #6248 in Decatur. She married Andrew Prak Jr. April 7, 1952. He preceded her in death April 9, 2009. Survivors include a daughter Barbara (Keith) Green, 3 sons Andrew Prak III., Lee (Marilyn) Prak and Jody (Kellie) Prak all of Dowagiac, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a brother Wayne E. Van Auken of Seabring, FL. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tues. Nov. 29, 2016 in the Newell Funeral Home Decatur with James Abshagen officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery Decatur. Friends may call 1 hr. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
