Anita L. Ramig, age 70, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Racine Hospice House. Anita was born in Libertyville, IL, September 18, 1944, daughter of the late Clayton and Letha (Nee: Howard) Berard.

On July 6, 1968 she was united in marriage to George Ramig. Anita was employed as a telemarketer for several years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother who was affectionately known as “Howie” and cherished time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of forty-seven years, George; her children, Gina (Marty) Hoke, Geoff Ramig (Jennifer Vear); her grandchildren, Giulia, Ryan, and Bryce Hoke; brother, Cliff (Lilian) Berard; brother-in-law, William (Frances Susan) Gabbey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Berard.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 3, 2015, 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until time of service at 7:00 P.M. Private entombment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Memorials to the March of Dimes or to the Countryside Humane Society have been suggested.

A very special thank you to all of the caregivers at the Racine Hospice House for their loving and compassionate care.
