Angela M. Totero came into this world on July 5, 1949. She was the oldest daughter of Santo “Sam” and Virginia Totero.
With arms widespread, Angela extended deep and abiding love to her family and friends. Her generous spirit was evident with everyone she touched. She extended her love of life to her passion for cooking at Totero’s, her family’s restaurant.
Angela lost her courageous battle with cancer on Monday, the 2nd of January, 2017.
Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Michael Mullane and the infusion team at Aurora Cancer Care and the staff at Ridgewood Care Center. Their sincere efforts afforded her the assurance needed to fight her battle and to find peace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 9, 2017, 6:00 P.M. at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 3:00 P.M. until time of Mass at 6:00 P.M. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Angela by following her wishes of sending memorials to the American Cancer Society, the Diabetes Association and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
