Angela “Ann” Driver, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Burlington Rehabilitation and Care Center. Ann, the youngest of ten children, was born in Witten, South Dakota, December 5, 1926, daughter of the late Thomas and Maybelle (Nee: Stewart) Worsley.

Ann graduated from Union Grove High School “Class of 1944”. On November 13, 1948 she was united in marriage to LaVerne “Vern” Driver. Ann was employed by Met Life as a Branch Administrator retiring after twenty-seven years of service. During her years at Met Life she was actively involved in the “Met 20 Year Club”, serving in all the offices. Ann was also a member of the Insurance Women of Racine for twenty years. An avid reader, she also loved to cook and bake, but her greatest enjoyment was her family including her grandpets. Ann’s family was her life and she was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and especially cherished the time spent with them.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Vern; her children, Peggy Driver of Glendale, AZ, David Driver of Racine, Richard Driver of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Kim Driver, Bailey Driver, Angie Driver; her great-grandson, Eddie; brother, Gail Worsley; sister, Mary Tomek; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne and Wion; sisters Maryon Abbey and Monica Bayley; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and three siblings who died at birth.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, April 16, 2016, 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until time of service. Memorials to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight have been suggested.

A special thank you to Dr. Howard Short, Dr. John Brennan, Dr. Ryan Engel, Dr. Woosuk Park, Karen Mueller and their staffs for their loving care and compassion shown during Ann’s years of illness. Also a special thank you to the staff at Burlington Rehab for the wonderful care given to Ann during her stay.

“You are the axis upon which we turn,

The center around which this family orbits.

You are our core of strength and love.

You are more than you ever knew,

And loved more than you can imagine.”
