Andrew Pachay

Andrew Pachay, 92, of Decatur, MI passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 7, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 P.M., Friday, August 10, 2018 at Newell Funeral Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur with Pastor James Abshagen officiating. Friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Decatur VFW Post 6248. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and served in Peleliu, Okinawa and China. He attended MSU School of Agriculture under the G.I. Bill. Andy married Isabelle Bereck on December 31, 1955 in Decatur, MI. He was a life time member of the Decatur VFW. Andy was a well-respected farmer in the Decatur area. Andy is survived by his wife Isabelle Pachay; daughter Amy (Karl) Pachay-Kish; son Andy (Amy) Pachay; 5 grandchildren Brian and Matthew Kish, Drew, Emma and Ellie Pachay; sisters Mary Griggs and Helen Okleshen; and nieces and nephews.
