Pager, Alma "Harriet" Portage Age 92, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Bickford Senior Living of Portage with loved ones at her side. She was born in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of the late Earl and Katherine (Evans) Lettow. Harriet was a kind, gentle and selfless person. Her easy going and fun personality made her a joy to know, and she made many friends throughout her life. Harriet worked hard as a Title Examiner and retired from Title Bond and Mortgage Company. When not working, she loved listening to music and was an avid country line dancer. Though she faced many challenges and losses in her life, she never complained and always lived her life selflessly. Harriet loved family gatherings and spending holidays together with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. On September 28, 1946, she married the love of her life, Edwin "Ed" Pager, who preceded her in passing in 1983. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Pager and Cynthia "Cindy" (Jack) Boerman; grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Long, Jodi (Ryan) Leaser and Christopher "Chris" Burns; five great-grandchildren who were dear to her heart; her nieces, Donna (Bill) Tellam and Katherine (Tom Bailey) Joslin; and nephew, James (Patty) Joslin. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Magnan; and siblings, Austin Lettow and Sally Joslin. In accordance with her wish, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest privately with Edwin and Linda at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
