Time spent with her family was very precious to Alma as she enjoyed cooking for them and just being together. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and any time she could be with them was time spent well. One of her favorite activities was traveling and seeing different surroundings. She also loved working on her puzzles. She had an infectious smile and laugh that made you feel close to her. She will be missed by many. Alma is survived by her children: Cindy and Ray Kanoza, Rosemary McKinley, Walter McKenzie, Michael McKenzie and husband, Jim Nuyen; four grandchildren: Krista, Steven, Katie and Rosey; three great-grandchildren: Elijah, Makayla and Chase; one brother: Alfonzo and Tina Martinez; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Gilbert Jr.; three sisters: Anna Marie Garcia, Aida Quintanilla and Adela Belinda Martinez; two brothers: Arturo Martinez and Armando Martinez. Friends may celebrate Alma's life at a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 6 at 11 am, Rev. Father Alan P. Jorgensen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alma's name to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (110 N.
