Surrounded by her loving family, Alice M. Selkurt, age 92, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at her residence. Alice was born in Racine, August 6, 1923, daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Nee: Seitz) Hinsman.

On October 26, 1946 she was united in marriage to Bernard Selkurt who preceded her in death this past August 16th. Alice was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. She loved to travel and enjoyed playing schafskopf. Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Terry Selkurt (Lori Cattelino) of Chippewa Falls, Linda (Richard) Steele of CO, Laurel (Joseph) Lopez, Rebecca (Mark) Madsen, Carol (Jim) Annis, all of Racine; 12 grandchildren, Thomas Adjemain, Roberta Adjemain, Nicole (Rafael) Sanchez, Paetyn Cattelino, Stephanie (Ryan) Wells, Daniel (Lisa) Lopez, Kelly Lopez, Ryan Spencer, Ethan Madsen, Steven Madsen, Michael Annis, Brian Annis; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Peddicord of Hoffman Estates, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Teri Elaine Best; two brothers, Thomas and Donald Hinsman; and sister, Shirley Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 29, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green Street, with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church have been suggested.

A very special thank you to her caregiver, Kathy Finley, for her loving and compassionate care.
