Alfredo “Fred” Trinidad Sr., age 77, passed away on Friday March 25, 2016. Alfredo was born in Cameron, TX on May 27, 1938, son of the late Apolonio and Tomasa (nee: DeLa Rosa) Trinidad.

On May 4, 1963 in Sturtevant, Alfredo was united in marriage to the love of his life, Yolanda Fernandez. Together they shared fifty-two beautiful years together and built a family they both adored. Fred was retired from Bane Nelson and employed at various construction companies throughout the city for many years. He was proud to have helped build the Regency Mall and parts of Wheaton Franciscan Hospital. He was a member of the Local Union #113. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his cars in the garage, making repairs around the house or tending to his garden. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Fred always loved and looked forward to the annual family reunions with his siblings. A generous and kind hearted man, Freddy was always willing to help others in need.

Fred will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Yolanda; children, Diane Trinidad, Margarita Trinidad (Paige Burnell), Anna Marie Trinidad, Ricardo Trinidad III; grandchildren, Michael McCutchen (Keri Huettner), Anthony (Brody Burright), Alexis McCutchen, Estevan Trinidad, Christopher Trinidad (fiancée, Selena Bernal), Adriana Hernandez, Alexjandro Hernandez; great grandchildren, Katrina Marie and Ruben J.R. McCutchen; siblings, Ermenia Ortega, Ricardo (Gloria) Trinidad, Sr. Apolonio (Shirley) Trinidad II, Samuel Trinidad Sr., John Trinidad,Sr. Gloria Trinidad (Steve) Jones, Helen Trinidad-Tendrick, David (Linda) Trinidad, Josephine Casper; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jane Trinidad, Samuel (Karen) Fernandez, Arturo Fernandez, Esther (Joe) Ramirez, Jesse (Janet) Fernandez, Olga (Sirildo) Sabala, Domingo (Geri) Fernandez Jr., Daniel (Kim) Fernandez, Connie (Don) Tenuta; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends and his pets, Sasha and Suki. In addition to his parents, Alfredo was also preceded in death by his sons, Alfredo (Freddy), Jr. and Ruben; grandson, Robert; infant twin sister Josefina , brother-in-law, Serafin Ortega; sisters-in-law, June Trinidad, Esperanza Trinidad, and Linda Fernandez.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 31, 2016, 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
