Alfred “Al” E. Kilsdonk, age 86, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his residence. Al was born in Little Chute, WI, July 31, 1928, son of the late Peter and Alma (nee: Hansen) Kilsdonk.

He was a World War II veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy. Al was a graduate of Bradley University. He worked at S.C. Johnson in Racine from 1953 to 1990, for thirty seven years as a formulating chemist, working on floor care products, insecticides, cleaners, shoe polishes, and printing inks. At Johnson’s, professionally he belonged to the American Chemical Society (ACS), The American Standard Test Methods, (ASTM), and the twenty Year Club. On December 21, 1974 he was united in marriage to Rosalie R. (Nee: Perchonok) who preceded him in death, July 9, 2012. Al was a life member of the Racine Yacht Club. Al had a great love for traveling, woodworking, tropical fish, and spending time with family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Kathleen (David) Berwick, John (Lori) Kilsdonk, Karen (Tom) Evans, Michael (Michele) Skurek; 12 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Fred (Barbara) Perchonok, Ted Pittelman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his daughters, Dr. Jane Sliwinski and Mary Kay Garside.

Funeral services will Full Military Honors be held Thursday, April 30, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
