Alexis "Lexxy" Dorothy Butler, age 18, of Arlington, TX passed away on November 17, 2017 after sustaining significant injuries in an automobile accident in Arlington, Texas. She was born on March 5, 1999 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Scott Butler and Barbara Hanovich Barr. Lexxy moved with her Mom, Step Dad and brother from Michigan to Texas in 2015 and she was a 2017 graduate of Arlington Martin High School. Lexxy was on several competitive cheer teams, including Spirit of Texas, and traveled many places to compete. She was attending the Paul Mitchell School to pursue her passion in cosmetology. Lexxy loved life and sharing her laugh, smile, and bubbly personality with her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on through her final selfless act of organ and tissue donation. Lexxy will be greatly missed by her family and friends from near and far. Lexxy is survived by her father Scott Butler (Vicky DeHaan); mother Barb (Rick) Barr; siblings Brock Butler, Ashley and Richard Barr; niece Ava; paternal grandparents Patricia Butler; Richard (Joanne) Butler, maternal grandparents Gary and Kathleen Hanovich; Aunt's Jennifer (Bob) Kirk, Sarah Butler, Angelique Butler, Michelle (Tom) Sutton; cousins Tucker and Gabriella Tiedemann, Aaron and Adam Kirk, Katelyn (Connor) McCarthy; and Jessica Sutton and many more extended family and friends. A celebration of Lexxy's life was held in Arlington, Texas and a Memorial Vigil in Battle Creek. A Michigan celebration will be held in March of 2018. Memorial contributions may be made in Lexxy's honor to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.
