Albert Doorlag

Died Friday morning February 28, 2020. Albert was born September 29, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Harm and Rena (Johnson) Doorlag. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Parker Hannifin for 35 years before retiring. Albert attended Gull Lake Bible Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marian VanAuken, Herman Doorlag, Jeanie Carpenter, Doris Zanardi, Richard Doorlag, Lloyd Doorlag, Betty Kneller, and Norma Doorlag. On December 23, 1983, he was united in marriage to Nancy I. (Snow) Doorlag who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Randall Doorlag of Florida, Albert (Lori) Doorlag, Jr of Parchment, and Shannon (Jerry) Leonard of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Marsha Brown and Tom (Margo) Doorlag all of Parchment; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wayne VanAuken and Clara Doorlag both of Florida, Robert Zanardi of Comstock, and Patricia Doorlag of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday, March 5th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date.
