Alan Stratton

Alan P. Stratton, age 68, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away at his home on September 22, 2016. Alan was born in Kalamazoo on May 7, 1948 to the late Harold P. and Delphine E. (McKee) Stratton. Despite a lifetime battle with epilepsy and other health ailments, Alan made every effort to enjoy life. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Detroit teams. He also delivered the Kalamazoo Gazette for many years at the Skyrise and Bronson Hospital, where he was known and loved by many. Alan's family and friends were always at the center of his life. He is survived by his sister, Margo (David Anderson) Mills; nephew, Aaron (Kathy) Mills and great-nephews, Justin (Krystol) and Matt (Amanda) Goldsmith and their families. A memorial visitation will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan or the American Heart Association, c/o of the funeral home.
