Adrian Moerman

Adrian Moerman, age 89, of Portage, MI went to be with his Lord Tuesday evening, November 14, 2017. He was born January 17, 1928 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Cornelius and Catherine (Kaboord) Moerman and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. Adrian worked for over 30 years with Kalamazoo Savings and Loan retiring as Executive Vice President. He was a member of Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed going to farm auctions, tractors and the outdoors. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. On August 6, 1953 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia (Crain), who survives. Also surviving are his children, Julie (Kevin) Brophy, Tom Moerman; 3 grandchildren, Case, Lucia, and Shawn Brophy; sister-in-law, Jessie Moerman; and many nieces and nephews. Adrian was preceded in death by a son, Paul Moerman; and 9 brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation or services. A private family graveside will be held at a later date in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
