Adrian Glerum

Adrian N. Glerum, age 94, of Portage, MI went home to be with his Lord on June 20, 2017. He was born April 15, 1923 in Kalamazoo, the son of Adrian and Nellie (Hagerman) Glerum, and was a lifelong area resident. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Consumers Power Company. He was a longtime active member of Grace Christian Reformed Church, where he had served as Deacon and Elder. Adrian was a volunteer for Kalamazoo Christian School Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Anna (Hoogenboom) Glerum; by his siblings Marinus Glerum, Clara Adler and Minnie Glerum; also by Lou Camburn. Surviving are three children Steve (Jeanne) Glerum, Ronald (Jannie) Glerum and Dale (Colleen) Glerum; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held 10:30AM Saturday, June 24th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. with Pastor Fred DeYoung officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Portage Chapel. Memorials in Adrian's memory may be directed to Grace Christian Reformed Church.
