Adeline passed away on Saturday morning, December 9, 2017. She was born on January 19, 1928 in Grant Center, MI, the daughter of Jess and Dora (Parker) Hollenbeck. On March 9, 1946, Adeline was united in marriage to James E. Blades. She was a longtime member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Comstock. Surviving are her four sons: James Jr (Earlene) Blades of Kalamazoo, Charles (Rebecca) Blades of Kalamazoo, Paul (Carol) Blades of Mattawan and John (Shelley) Blades of Galesburg; ten grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband of 55 years: James Blades Sr; five brother; and four sisters. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, Dec. 11, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A funeral service to celebrate Adeline's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
